Physician network seeks to improve revenue cycle management and prepare for ICD-10 by implementing electronic charge capture from mobile devices
Waltham, Mass. – Feb. 7, 2012 – PatientKeeper® Inc., the leading provider of physician healthcare information systems, today announced that Southern California Hospitalist Network of Anaheim, CA, has purchased PatientKeeper Charge Capture™ software to improve revenue cycle management and streamline professional fee charge capture among its network of physicians working under contract at area hospitals.

Southern California Hospitalist Network plans to roll out PatientKeeper Charge Capture to its more than 150 physicians. PatientKeeper will be integrated with Southern California Hospitalist Networks’ QSI billing application and hospital-based MEDITECH registration systems.
“Our physicians are looking forward to being able to enter charges with PatientKeeper on their mobile devices or on desktops in real time as they are rounding,” said Evan Jacobson, chief financial officer at Southern California Hospitalist Network. “PatientKeeper will significantly improve coding accuracy and charge documentation, which is critical to expediting billing and payment through Medicare and all of our other governmental and private payers.”
