Ontario-Based Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance and Alexandra Marine & General Hospital Select PatientKeeper Software to Streamline Physician Workflow
Waltham, MA; Goderich, Ont.; Stratford, Ont. – Mar. 28, 2012 – PatientKeeper® Inc., the leading provider of physician healthcare information systems, today announced that Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) and Alexandra Marine & General Hospital (AMGH) in Ontario, Canada, have selected PatientKeeper software to provide their physicians with easy, “anytime, anywhere” access to patient information stored in the organizations’ current hospital information system (HIS), and an integrated electronic documentation capability.
HPHA and AMGH initially will deploy PatientKeeper Physician Portal™, PatientKeeper Mobile Clinical Results™ and PatientKeeper NoteWriter™. The Physician Portal is a web-based unified environment for physicians to work with information from systems across the hospital and community. Mobile Clinical Results provides physicians with a complete view of patient clinical data on a smartphone or tablet, so they can access it wherever they are, at any time. NoteWriter enables electronic documentation that physicians can easily integrate into their current workflow.
PatientKeeper’s platform allows for the addition of advanced clinical workflow applications, such as CPOE, medication reconciliation, and e-signature, so physicians can review and act on patient information from a single, physician-friendly work environment. HPHA and AMGH serve a region encompassing two counties in southwestern Ontario with a population of approximately 135,000. HPHA comprises four hospitals in Clinton, St. Marys, Seaforth and Stratford; AMGH is in Goderich. The five hospitals share a common information technology infrastructure.
