ICD-10 Preparation Should Begin Now

Twenty-four months and counting - that's where U.S. healthcare providers are today in the countdown to ICD-10. The current CMS-mandated cut-over date to the new medical coding set is October 1, 2013, which is not as far away as it may seem, considering all of the steps that organizations need to take between now and then to prepare for the switch-over. Therefore, it is imperative that organizations begin their ICD-10 preparation now.
