What is the mobile Patient Index?
The mobile Patient Index is the single interface that lets you view and interact with the full suite of PatientKeeper's handheld applications: DxKeeper, ChargeKeeper, LabKeeper , AlertKeeper and MemoKeeper. The mPI allows its you to more efficiently and effectively manage patient lists, the work related to the patients on those lists, and move into and between other clinical and administrative applications for a given patient. What is DxKeeper?
You and your hospital, clinic or practice can automatically maintain up-to-date problem lists for each of your patients in the mobile Patient Index (mPI) with DxKeeper. Using this handheld application, you will save time finding diagnoses that are used in other daily functions, such as charge capture and lab orders, and provide more accurate coding for better clinical reference, data analysis, long-term planning, and charge capture. What is LabKeeper?
LabKeeper is our handheld application for lab reviews. Working seamlessly with the mobile Patient Index, healthcare providers can use it to receive lab results at the point of care. No more signing-on to a computer to view labs, or sifting through paper records in a chart to find pertinent information. By customizing the application, healthcare providers can bring together, on one screen, all labs for a particular patient's clinical condition. MORE

What is ChargeKeeper?
ChargeKeeper is our handheld charge capture application that works within the mobile Patient Index interface and interfaces with any hospital's admission/discharge/transfer (ADT) system and patient scheduling system. That means it will help you lower the number of lost charges due to forgetfulness, lost forms or late charges. It can also improve efficiency by lowering your number of claims rejections and re-submissions, avoiding coding errors, promoting proper evaluation and management coding by referencing HCFA's guidelines and avoiding government fines by being in compliance with professional billing guidelines. What is AlertKeeper?
AlertKeeper is our automated handheld messaging application. It's integrated right into the mobile Patient Index, so that any of PatientKeeper's applications can generate alerts of varying urgency and convey messages to you wherever you are. AlertKeeper can also remind the user to review messages at a fixed interval of time, and administrators can track when and if you have viewed your alerts. MORE

What is MemoKeeper?
MemoKeeper serves as a place to store important patient information for personal use, or to post to a patient's "chart" as a "sticky note" for other users to view, such as the patient's favorite pharmacy, and sign-out notes for cross-coverage. MORE

Can PatientKeeper applications interface with legacy systems?
Yes. Our open architecture framework is designed to interface legacy systems with PatientKeeper mobile healthcare solutions. MORE

Are your applications "wireless?"
The PatientKeeper Platform is designed to allow PDAs to communicate with enterprise servers via various transportation mechanisms, including wireless. MORE

What about HIPAA requirements?

Can I still use my personal Palm applications?
You are able to use the Palm applications such as addresses and datebook. Other applications will also work.

How do your applications contribute to an organization's goal of providing a complete electronic medical record (EMR)?
As we say above, our technology will enable your users to exchange data with any system and applications you choose - ours, a third party's, or even your own. You will be able to provide a universal user interface from a single mobile device.

Can I generate a report with PatientKeeper applications?
PatientKeeper solutions enable your organization to create billing and utilization reports quickly and easily. These reports, delivered on your PC through a Web-based interface, can help your organization evaluate the delivery of services and improve billing efficiency and compliance.

Do PatientKeeper applications support code edits?
Yes. The coding guidelines and edits (accuracy checks) run the gamut from simple to complex, facilitating a comprehensive approach to billing compliance. ChargeKeeper contains all of the over-80,000 Correct Coding Initiative (CCI) rebundling and mutually exclusive edits.
