PatentKeeper Appoints New CMO to Support Continued Leadership in Physician Information Systems

Donald P. Burt Jr. Brings Extensive Clinical and Operational Experience in the Business of Healthcare Delivery

Newton, Mass. - April 25, 2007 - PatientKeeper®, Inc., the industry's leading physician information system vendor, today announced it has named Donald P. Burt Jr., MD as chief medical officer. Burt will oversee corporate and product strategy, ensuring PatientKeeper continues to deliver strong clinical and financial benefits to its customers.

Burt brings to PatientKeeper a unique combination of clinical, business and information technology experience including proven success in clinical operations, EMR deployment, business development, and strategic planning. Prior to joining PatientKeeper, Burt spent four years at Berkshire Health Systems (BHS), one of the leading providers of comprehensive health care services in western Massachusetts, where he served as president of Berkshire Faculty Services, the system's large multi-specialty physician group practice. Prior to BFS, Burt served as a vice president at McKesson Corporation. He also served as the vice president and medical director for Health New England, a provider owned health maintenance organization. Earlier in his career, Burt was founder and co-director of the department of occupational medicine and a physician partner in internal medicine and geriatrics. Currently, Burt continues as an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine.
