PatientKeeper Closes $8 Million Financing to Support Continued Rapid Growth

Company Reports More than 80 Percent Growth Over The Last Year

BOSTON, Mass., June 14, 2006 - PatientKeeper®, Inc., the leading developer of physician information systems, today announced that it has closed an $8 million round of funding. This round of funding includes a syndicate of leading healthcare venture capital firms including Frazier Healthcare, Mediphase Venture Partners, Mosaix Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, Pacific Venture Group, Saints Capital, and Whitney & Co. The proceeds will be used to expand operations to meet growing customer demand and invest in new product development to extend the company's leadership position in physician information systems.

"Innovative products that are embraced by both physicians and hospitals have helped establish PatientKeeper as a market leader in physician information systems," said Ryan Drant, general partner of New Enterprise Associates and a member of the PatientKeeper Board of Directors. "The healthcare information technology marketplace offers a tremendous growth opportunity for an independent company like PatientKeeper. The Board and the investor group are enthusiastically behind the PatientKeeper management team as they continue to grow rapidly and build a very successful company."

Only PatientKeeper is designed to support a physician throughout the entire day, across all settings of care. PatientKeeper's applications allow physicians to access their patients' electronic records, write prescriptions, enter charges for services, document patient encounters, and securely send messages to other caregivers - all in a single, integrated environment.

This approach has made PatientKeeper an integral part of the strategies of organizations across the healthcare continuum - ranging from small physician practices to community hospitals to major academic medical centers to some of the largest health systems in the country. PatientKeeper's customer base now includes over 100 organizations, representing over 300 hospitals.

"I am excited that this funding round was both oversubscribed and completed only by our current investors," said Paul W. Brient, chief executive officer of PatientKeeper. "It is a strong endorsement of our strategy and gives us the ability to continue to invest in support of our continued growth."
