MICROMEDEX and PatientKeeper Unveil mobileMICROMEDEX for PatientKeeper's Platform

Greenwood Village, Colo. and Brighton, Mass. January 30, 2002 - At the 2002 Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference, which opened this week, MICROMEDEX, a part of The Thomson Corporation (TSE:TOC), and PatientKeeper, Inc. unveiled mobileMICROMEDEX for PatientKeeper's Mobilizer Platform (Booth #752). MICROMEDEX will deliver clinical content to PatientKeeper's users and developer community.

By porting to PatientKeeper's Mobilizer Platform, mobileMICROMEDEX is integrated with the world's most widely used hand-held patient management solution. PatientKeeper's users can access MICROMEDEX content in conjunction with other mobile healthcare applications, while maintaining a patient-centric workflow. In the future, PatientKeeper's developer community can create mobile applications that take advantage of MICROMEDEX content and decision-support functionality.

"With mobileMICROMEDEX, healthcare facilities can ensure their doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other clinicians are using the same reliable information on their handheld devices that they already have on their computers," says Rick Noble, Chief Operating Officer for Thomson Healthcare/MICROMEDEX. "Porting to PatientKeeper's Mobilizer Platform, will allow mobileMICROMEDEX to be integrated with other mobile healthcare applications in the future."

"PatientKeeper's Mobilizer Platform ensures our users will continue to have access to best-of-breed applications - such as mobileMICROMEDEX," says Stephen S. Hau, PatientKeeper's founder and vice president of platform.
