Hau founded PatientKeeper in 1996 with Dr. Joseph Bonventre, co-director of Harvard Medical School Division of Health Sciences and Technology. Hau is co-inventor on a patent for the company's core technology. As vice president of marketing and business development, Hau drives product management, marketing communications and partner development.
PatientKeeper is Hau's second entrepreneurial venture. In 1993, Hau was a founding partner of ThinkFish Productions, a 3D graphics company that was later acquired by Viewpoint Datalabs, Inc. He has also held engineering and information technology positions at Motorola and Quadris, now Agency.com.
Hau received both his bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Hau was enrolled as a doctoral student at Harvard University before leaving to found PatientKeeper.
