Jeff Sutherland, Ph.D.
Chief Technology Officer

As chief technology officer, Sutherland is responsible for PatientKeeper's architecture and technology direction. Sutherland brings over 14 years of product and technology development experience to PatientKeeper, as well as 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry.

Before joining PatientKeeper, Sutherland held numerous executive positions, including chief technology officer at IDX, now a part of GE. While at IDX, Sutherland invented the SCRUM development process, which has become accepted as an industry standard for rapid application development. His distinguished career also includes the founding of two software companies, Object Databases (now Matisse Software) and Individual, Inc.

Sutherland received his master of science in statistics and mathematics from Stanford University, and his doctorate in biometrics, medical imaging and radiation physics from the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
